Rev. Janie McElwee-Smith
Pastor

Janie McElwee-Smith was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Wake Forest University for undergraduate and Vanderbilt University for Divinity School. She has served churches in Missouri, Tennessee, South Carolina, southern Louisiana, and Pennsylvania before moving to far West Texas.
​
Janie is mom to twin boys, Lucien and Arthur, and she is a bonus mom to grown twins, Taylor and Caitlin. She is also fur-mom to Zoe and fur-grandmama to Remi. She is a recent cast member of the Gilbert & Sullivan Co. of El Paso, and enjoys cooking, movies, musical theater, travel, board games, and loves laughing as much as possible.​​

Brandy Adams
Office Administrator

Brandy started at GPC in 2014 as our administrator, overseeing our office needs, including design, bookkeeping, reception, and more. An El Paso native, Brandy is married to Denny and they have two kids. When not at Grace, Brandy loves to garden, host parties, and spend time with her family.

Brittney Williams
Music Director
​
Brittney Williams was born and raised in El Paso, Texas and graduated from UTEP in 2017 with a Bachelors in Music Performance. Brittney joined Grace as a choir member in 2016 and soon after became the Music Director in 2017.
In her free time, you can find her on stage around town! She has had opportunities most recently in New York with El Paso Choral Union at Carnegie Hall, who she still sings with often, and with the Gilbert and Sullivan Company of El Paso as a cast member since 2013. Brittney is a current board member for the company and for the summer of 2024, Artistic Director. Brittney loves animals, video games, singing and all things music! Pandas are her favorite animal and she has a fur baby named Amora.

Michael Rodriguez
Building Caretaker

Michael Rodriguez is blessed to be the proud father of three amazing, wonderful kids. He is also blessed with his dream job of being a TV broadcaster, directing newscasts for the past thirty-four years for KTSM 9, KFOX 14, and CBS 4. Training and managing his news crew is his passion and he has won an Emmy for his work.
​
He believes that working for Grace Presbyterian Church has been a blessing. He says that God is great, and put him with a family that made him who he is today. God has given him a wonderful life and he is truly blessed.
​
In his free time, he enjoys riding his motorcycle and is grateful to get to travel to enjoy the concerts of his favorite bands.

Patricia Provencio
Pianist
​
Patricia Ann Provencio has been the pianist at Grace Presbyterian Church since December 2018. Patricia worked for many years as the music and vocal director of the UTEP Dinner Theatre, dedicating over 30 years to the troupe. She was the principal pianist for the El Paso Symphony from 1984-2002. She served as music director at St. Luke's Episcopal and First Christian Church. Although she is now retired from her 41-year career, Patricia remains active as a collaborative artist. Her husband describes her as "semi-retired," while she says she is "having fun."

Angel Martinez
Technology Operator

Angel Martinez was born and raised in El Paso, Texas, graduated from EPCC with a degree in Communications, studied with Cisco Networking, and is currently studying cyber security.
​
Angel's hobbies include video games, movies, camping, reading, comics, and manga. He has been playing electric bass since he was fourteen and has been in many bands that have toured around Texas and New Mexico. He is currently teaching himself to play the piano. Angel loves animals and considers himself a dog person. He also loves spending time with his family and friends.

Maribel Wongwui
& Dajsha Perez
Childcare Director
& Nursery Assistant

Maribel Wongui has been with Grace since 2017 when she began working with the nonprofit group MOPS. Not long after, she began working in the Church Nursery. She loves being with the kids. She has six kids herself and seven grandkids.
​
Dajsha Perez is twenty-three and works full time and is in school in the evenings. She began working at Grace in 2017 with her mom Maribel.
