A Tool to Build Community

As members of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.), we believe that every human being is made in the image of the Triune God, is beloved by God, and is entitled to dignity, respect, and flourishing. We believe that “the unity of believers in Christ is reflected in the rich diversity of the Church’s membership,” which includes people of every race, ethnicity, age, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, geography, and theological conviction (F-1.0403). We believe that following Christ requires us to be inclusive of the voices often forgotten by the Church and the world. We believe that this includes our siblings of faiths beyond our own, knowing that our God is bigger than any of us can comprehend. We reject Christian Nationalism in all of its forms as contrary to the teachings of Christ.

In striving to create a welcoming environment that will help us more fully embrace and enact these beliefs, we expect that any and all use of digital space related to Grace Presbyterian Church of El Paso (e.g. our website and social media accounts, including the comment sections, etc.) will be gracious, kind, civil, sensitive and respectful. Any form of discrimination on the basis of a person’s God-created humanity, bullying or harassment of any sort, any baiting, “loaded” language, hate speech, ad hominem attacks, rude or crude statements or comments, abusive language, or anything else deemed to be contrary to the non-discrimination standards of the PCUSA, the Synod of the Sun, the Tres Rios Presbytery, or Grace Presbyterian Church of El Paso will be immediately removed from any and all platforms attached to Grace Presbyterian Church of El Paso and the person(s) writing such statements and/or comments may be blocked with or without warning from the social media accounts of Grace Presbyterian Church of El Paso.
